Carol Coussons de Reyes is a Georgia certified peer specialist. She has served as Director of Consumer Relations and Recovery Section for Georgia and as Director of the Office of Consumer Affairs in Nebraska. Currently, Carol works in a crisis call center with Behavioral Health Link. She was a co-designer of the first Georgia Peer Support and Wellness Center and founded a new peer support training and certification program in Nebraska. She is a trauma survivor since 1974 and has lived experience with a behavioral health condition since 1986. Bringing in lived experience to the coursework, Carol has facilitated Mental Health First Aid trainings since 2014. Carol is able travel statewide and her schedule is generally flexible outside of quarterly national meetings and annual conferences. Carol is also a wife, mother, artist, and writer.
