With over 36 years of experience in suicide prevention and mental health, Marti has conducted numerous workshops and presentations on suicide, grief, and crisis for both adults and children. She was Assistant Director of Suicide Prevention and Volunteer Services at North Central Mental Health. She also served as Community Liaison for Caring Answering, Listening and Linking/Volunteer Action Center while in Columbus.
Marti is also the past and current Chairperson for the Suicide Prevention Coalition of Georgia and coordinator of a number of support services at the Counseling Network at Perimeter Church. She has also garnered considerable expertise in her field as a certified suicide prevention trainer for the reputed QPR Institute.
Marti is locally involved in the Faith and Mental Wellness Coalition where she assists other churches and congregations in developing a mental health ministry. She is also chair for the Johns Creek Mental Wellness Task Force and a member of the Gwinnett Suicide Prevention Coalition. Marti is available to teach Mental Health First Aid courses across Georgia.
