SUMMARY:Outreach Wellness Learning Webinar: Mental Health 101
DESCRIPTION:Often mental health and mental illness are misunderstood by individuals due to lack of knowledge\, stigma associated with mental illness\, and avoidance of conversations regarding mental health and wellness. It is important to understand that everyone has mental health\, but not everyone is diagnosed with a mental illness. Mental health can be seen in everyday situations such as stressors that come with a job\, sadness felt when losing a loved one\, and even the distress felt while traveling through a major city. \nThrough this training participants will: \n1. Explain the differences between mental distress and mental illness. \n2. Describe common mood and anxiety disorders and their signs and symptoms. \n3. Demonstrate effective coping strategies during periods of stress. \nRegister Here: \nhttps://register.gotowebinar.com/register/7488988517853690893
