Kydea Leonard is the current Operations Director of Mental Health America of Georgia. Kydea was born and raised in Daytona Beach, Florida. She graduated Mainland High School and went on to attend Bethune-Cookman University, both in Daytona Beach. She is the proud mother of a 7 year old, an avid reader, and at-home cook.
Kydea built a professional career in banking for the last 10 years, and used that time to sharpen her skills in finance and accounting. Which led to a passion in managing the day to day operations to business, organizations, and corporations. She has had many successes in increasing productivity, strengthening compliance, and bringing revenue to the many organizations and businesses she has managed.
Throughout her personal life she has been an advocate for mental health, especially in the African American community. She believes that the key to healing is beginning with your mental health. However she acknowledges there is an unfortunate gap in the resources allocated to certain groups to address this. She decided to pursue a career with Mental Health America of Georgia because she strongly believes in and supports the mission and values of the organization and looks forward to assisting in growing and impacting as many lives as possible
