Nzingha Shaw is the Programs Manager for Mental Health America of Georgia. A native of Prince George’s County, Maryland, Shaw was motivated to pursue a legacy of cultural programming and creative education based on the enriching experiences found throughout her childhood and community.
Nzingha holds an M.A. in Creative and Innovative Education from Georgia State University and a B.A. in Sociology from St. Mary’s College of Maryland. In 2019, she participated in a study abroad tour with Georgia State University’s School of Public Health, surveying topics of collective health, race, and culture at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA) in Bahia, Brazil.
Ultimately, Nzingha strives to develop a legacy of wellness-centered learning through her programming work. Her professional interests include cultural sustainability, holistic education, and justice-oriented learning.
