Statement on the Passing of MARTA CEO Jeff Parker

ATLANTA, GA – Mental Health America of Georgia’s Executive Director Abdul Henderson released the following statement on the passing of MARTA’s CEO Jeff Parker:

“Jeff Parker was a leader in our community that dedicated his life’s work to building better transportation systems. On behalf of Mental Health America of Georgia, we send our deepest condolences to his family, and we mourn a true leader and innovator.”

“To learn that Jeff’s cause of death was by suicide breaks my heart. We have to keep working to help people in crisis,” said Executive Director Abdul Henderson.

“If there is anyone that you know that may be in crisis, please contact the Georgia Crisis and Access line at (800) 715-4225. It is available to all Georgians 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.”
